Over $60M spent on Blu-ray this week

More good news for Blu-ray as Home Media magazine reported that consumers spent over $60M on Blu-ray titles last week. This represents 14% of the home media market which means that market adoption is increasing steadily.

The week prior to last, consumers spent $23.64M on Blu-ray titles. A significant part of that 167% jump can be attributed to the release of 'The Dark Knight' which, as reported, smashed previous sales records last week and continues to do so around the world.
